Fresno is a city situated in the San Joaquin Valley of California. There is quite a few visitor attractions in Fresno and the city is contrary to popular believe a visitor attraction and not just a stop over city.
Tourists can go to the Blackbeards Family center where the whole family can take part in activities such as paintball, miniature golf, arcade games, sprint cars, water slides and play in the batting cages.
Some of the other attractions are Bentley’s Patio – a typical European market that caters for just about any need; Forestiere Underground Gardens – underground gardens built by an Italian named Baldasare Foresterie in the early 1900’s; Nonini Winery – a local winery with tasting facilities; Island Water Park – a seasonal water park for the whole family; and the Riverpark shopping center for all your shopping needs.
As with most cities that are situated in the San Joaquin Valley, it is recommended that you come with your own car or make sure you get a rental when you arrive at the airport. The tourist attractions are not situated very close to each other and walking between them might not be a good option.
Visitors can get into the city via the Fresno Yosemite International Airport. You could also opt to travel by train using the Amtrak San Joaquin rail which passes through six times per day.
At the airport you will be able to get car rentals from all the major national brands. There are also shuttles available but these might have to be booked beforehand.
